Palm Springs is the ultimate oasis for relaxation, and nothing complements a sunny day by the pool quite like a refreshing cocktail. So, what’s the most popular shaken and not stirred libation currently trending in the desert? SQUAD interviewed Franklin Bautista from “Benji Bartender” for the latest Cocktail 411.
“The most sought-after cocktail in Palm Springs right now is the Cucumber Refresher, made with cucumbers, mint, lime, sugar, and your choice of gin or vodka. Just shake it up with plenty of love and serve it over ice.”
Franklin never expected to mix drinks with his brand, “Benji Bartender.” With over ten years of bartending experience, Franklin and his wife decided to give entrepreneur life a shot and build their own business after he was laid off during the COVID pandemic. “Since then, we’ve never stopped. We are blessed to have clients who trust us to keep us busy every week,” Franklin proudly explains.
Regarding the latest poolside favorite spirits in Palm Springs, Franklin says, “Tequila is always at the forefront.” His all-time favorite cocktail? An “Old Fashioned with Mezcal—it adds a nice twist.”
